Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, commonly known as Argireline, is a synthetic peptide widely used in cosmetic skincare formulations for its wrinkle-reducing properties. It is composed of six amino acids and is designed to target the SNARE complex, a group of proteins involved in muscle contraction. By modulating neurotransmitter release at the skin’s surface, Argireline may help reduce repetitive facial movements that contribute to the formation of expression lines. Because of this mechanism, it is often described as a “topical expression relaxer” and is commonly included in anti-aging products aimed at smoothing fine lines around the forehead, eyes, and mouth.

At a 200mg concentration, Argireline is typically incorporated into serums, creams, or gels for external use only. Regular application may gradually improve the appearance of dynamic wrinkles and enhance overall skin texture without invasive procedures. It is frequently combined with other peptides, hyaluronic acid, and antioxidants to maximize visible results and support hydration. Unlike injectable neuromodulators, Argireline works superficially and provides milder cosmetic effects. It is generally well tolerated when properly formulated, with minimal reports of irritation.
