5-amino-1MQ is a small-molecule quinolinium analog studied in laboratory settings as an inhibitor of the enzyme nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT). 5-Amino-1MQ research focuses on how modulation of NNMT influences nicotinamide metabolism and NAD⁺-related cellular pathways.
